Super glue works great as long as there is no air between the parts.

Instructions: Carefully remove the old gasket using a 3/4 sharp chisel. be careful and keep your hands BEHIND the chisel blade!! Repair and smooth any imperfections on the board. Clean the gasket surface and the board with MEK of Acetone, and don't touch the cleaned surfaces with bare fingers. Sand the dull surface of the gasket with 400 or 300 sandpaper, untill the surface is totaly luster free. Sand only the 1/2 contact area that will be glued to the board.

Place the gasket over the slot, and align it properly. Lift the front and glue the front area first, using a flat piece of wood so you apply even pressure over that area. Then with a longer flat piece of wood, start gluing 8" long sections , alternating from side to side until you end with the back of the gasket.

Each time you apply glue, press for 30 seconds. After that, gently lift to ensure proper gluing.
