Image 1 : Remove the boom by loosening the outhaul first. Then release the front clamp and line, and swing the boom downward to disconnect the boom from the mast.

Images2 : Loosen the downhaul. Pull the foot of the sail towards the mast so it does not catch on the extension ring.

Images3 : Remove the base extension, return to the boom area and pull the luff upward towards the mast tip.

Images4 : As you pull more sail up the mast, let the foot of the sail swing downwind so you end up with the mast tip facing upwind.

Images 5, 6, 7 : Go to the mast tip and remove the sail head out of the mast, and pull the luff sock so the sail comes out of the mast. Continue to pull the sail out until you can easily remove the mast. Begin rolling the sail from the head, around the battens.

Images 8, 9: Store the sail in its bag, so the luff sock is close to the zippered opening. This end has a mesh opening so the sail can drain and dry. When storing the sail, if you set it upright, always place the luff side down so you do not crush the monofilm in the clew area.
Caution: if someone helps you and pulls the bottom of the mast out, the bottom section will separate from the mast top section, making it difficult to de-rig the sail.
