Image 11 : You can slide the sail down the mast by bracing the inserted extension against a tree or some obstacle.

Image 12, 13 : Do it slowly and watch the mast tip so it slides up the sail. As it gets closer to the top, ease the mast tip in by pulling the top of the sleeve down the mast. Do not force the mast up the sail when the tip is pushing against the leading edge of the sail. The Luff curvature is causing the mast to ride hard against the leading edge of the sail. All you need to do is pulling more sail down the mast in this area.

Image 14 : When you have the mast tip sitting within a few cm from the top of the sail, push the top of the sail so the head plug insert goes inside the past top plug. You can guide the insert with your finger inserted inside the sail.

Image 15 : Once the tip plug is inserted, return to the foot, always holding onto the mast. Do not drop the sail on the ground as the battens are turned downward and can cause batten breakage or damage from chafe.

Next, fold up the fairing of foot, to make it easier to thread the downhaul.
Thread the downhaul line and downhaul by hand until you feel resistance.

Image 16-18 : Downhaul fully by using a downhaul crank. This is recommended to prevent damage to your spine .

Image 19 : Connect the boom to the mast.

Image 20, 21 : Using a small lanyard attached to the inhaul, it is easy to thread the line into the boom clamp hook.
Clamp the boom on, place the sail down gently, and go to the clew of the sail.
