Image 11, 14 : Continue to feed the sail down the mast. Watch the mast tip as it slides up the sail.
As it gets closer to the top, help that part of the sail by pulling it down the mast.
When you have the mast tip sitting within a few cm from the top of the sail, align the sleeve top so the head plug insert goes inside the past top plug.

Image 15 : You can guide the insert with your finger inserted inside the sail.

Image 16, 17 : Once the tip is inserted , return to the foot, always holding onto the mast. Do not drop the sail on the ground as the battens are turned downward can cause batten breakage and damage from chafe. Pull the rest of the sail material down the mast.

Image 18, 19 : Next, fold up the fairing of foot, to make it easier to thread the downhaul.
Thread the downhaul line and downhaul by hand until you feel resistance. Downhaul fully by using a downhaul crank. This is recommended to prevent damage to your spine.

Image 20 : Place the excess downhaul line inside the pocket in the fairing. Return the tack fairing to its normal position.

Image 20, 21 : Next, connect the boom to the mast. Using a small lanyard attached to the inhaul, it is easy to thread the line into the boom clamp hook. Clamp the boom on and place the sail down gently. Loop the uphaul bungie around the foot on pre- 2002 sails. On 2002 models, insert the bungie through the hole on the front of the fairing then around the base extension. Next, go to the clew of the sail.
