Before rigging a new sail, Its a good idea to coat the mast top section all the way to the area above the boom with a rag impregnated with a non staining dry lubricant or wax. This lubricant will eventually coat the inside of the luff sock, making it very easy to rig your sails.

Image 1 : Choose a grassy area if possible, and unroll the sail so the head is downwind of you.
Do this staying low to the ground to avoid the sail flapping in the wind.
Place the boom on top of the sail, by the foot to keep the sail from flying away.
Insert the mast extension into the mast and choose the appropriate amount of extension, as written on the foot of the sail.

Images3, 4: Push the mast up until it goes through the boom cutout.

Images5, 6: Help the luff slide over the mast by pulling down on the luff, then by pulling the extra material below it downward. Use the handle sewn on the foot of the sail for this.

Image 7, 8, 9, 10 : Continue to slide the sail down the mast, pulling sections of luff sock at a time. You can brace the inserted extension against a tree or some obstacle, and slide the sail down the mast.
