Image 11 : Do it slowly and watch the mast tip so it slides up the sail. As it gets closer to the top, help that part of the sail by pulling it down the mast. When you have the mast tip sitting within a few inches from the top of the sail, push the top of the sail so the tip insert goes inside the past top plug.

Image 12 : You can guide the insert with your finger inserted inside the sail.

Image 13 : On smaller sails that require an adjustable top, insert the tip into the mast.

Image 14, 15 : (Refer to the General Tips for setting the adjustable top) Once the tip is inserted , return to the foot, always holding onto the mast. Fold up the fairing of the foot,

Image 16 : Thread the downhaul line and downhaul by hand until you feel resistance.
Most advanced sailors will downhaul all the way first, then connect the boom.

 Image 17, 18 :
However, if you dont have strong hands, connect the boom to the mast at this stage as there is less tension in the boom cutout material. Place the mast shim on the mast (radius mast), and connect the boom.

Image 19, 20, 21 : Using a small lanyard attached to the inhaul, it is easy to thread the line into the boom clamp hook.

Image 22, 23 : The Team uses another clever way. Keep the boom clamp open and positioned at the lowest part of the boom cutout.
